Terms & Conditions

  1. 1.) The enclosed menus are suggestions based on popular taste and budget. Our Executive Chefs, Catering Director and banquet staff will be pleased to coordinate any menu to best suit your needs. Please advise of any allergies and severe dietary restrictions prior to the event so that we may best accommodate. Desserts may have traces of nuts. Buffet products will be displayed to a maximum one hour at any function to ensure the integrity of the product.
  2. 2.) As is customary, banquet prices are subject to change due to fluctuating food costs. Prices for all meal functions will be guaranteed for three (3) months prior to an event. We advise that meal selections be made a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to your event.
  3. 3.) Please advise the Catering Director of final number of attendees five (5) business days prior to the event. If final numbers are not confirmed within the specified time frame as per the contract, the greater of the two will automatically become the guarantee.
  4. 4.) For the protection of our guests, Pretium Catering will be the sole provider of food items (excluding wedding cakes).
  5. 5.) To confirm a booking, a non refundable, non-transferable deposit is required. Private events are required to pay an initial non-refundable, non-transferable deposit and 100% of the estimated charges four (4) weeks prior the event by cash, certified check, debit or credit card.
  6. 6.) A signed copy of our Catering Contract returned to our Catering office will ensure that all agreed upon requirements are as stated.
  7. 7.) If alcohol is being served at your event it is the policy of Pretium Catering that all BC Liquor Control Act be adhered to.
  8. 8.) If the function is cancelled, the representative will pay to Pretium Catering in accordance with the following: Cancellations less than 15 days prior to function: 100% of anticipated revenues. Cancellations made within 15 to 31 days prior to the function: 50% of anticipated revenues, unless event is resold to an equal or greater value.
  9. 9.) A Service Charge of 18% applies to all food and beverage totals and is distributed to the staff. GST will be added to the final bill.
  10. 10.) Food from buffets and packages are not transferable to breaks.
  11. 11.) Any leftover food from buffet service that is perishable may not be removed and taken away by the representative without prior arrangements having been made and the proper liability release form having been signed.
  12. 12.) Additional charges may apply for delivery outside of Vernon city limits.
  13. 13.) Catering services include delivery, staffed foodservice, dinnerware, silverware, paper napkins, and all food related equipment. Pretium Catering does not provide any table or napkin linens, tables, and chairs are to be provided by the representative.
